Choker Set
Four bands stacked two and a half inches deep — thread, small stones, large stones, then silver falling free.
The choker is built in four bands, and they grow as they descend. Teal thread wound over the frame in short segments, alternating with silver beads. Then a row of small turquoise rosettes. Then a second thread-and-silver band. Then the largest stones — half-moon cabochons set edge to edge the whole way round.
Below all of it, silver rings hang free, each carrying a cluster of small beads that swing when you move. Thirteen inches at the throat and two and a half inches deep: this is not a necklace on a neck, it is a collar around one.
The Thread
Teal thread wound over the frame, colour-matched to the stones. Most chokers hide their stringing; this one makes it a stripe.
The Graduation
Small round stones above, large half-moons below. The collar grows heavier as it drops, so it reads as a shape rather than a stripe.
The Fringe
Open silver rings hung with bead clusters — the only part of the piece that moves, and the reason it catches light as you turn.
Thread is usually the part a maker hides. Here it is dyed to the stone and laid in the open, as a band of colour in its own right.

- Turquoise is porous and soft. Keep it away from water, perfume, hairspray, hand cream and oil, and put the set on last.
- The thread is dyed. Water will both mark it and carry colour into the stones, so this piece should never be washed or worn in the rain.
- Never use a silver dip, an ultrasonic cleaner or a liquid polish. A dip strips the oxidation, soaks into the stone and bleeds the thread — all three at once.
- Wipe with a soft dry cloth only, and store flat and on its own.

Questions
Will 13 inches fit me?
Thirteen inches is a true choker — it sits around the neck itself, not below it. The thread closure adjusts, so there is some give, but this is a short piece by design and it is meant to be worn close.
Measure around the base of your neck with a tape before ordering. If that measurement is comfortably under 13 inches you are fine; if it is at or above it, tell us before you buy and we will check the adjustment range for you.
Is the turquoise natural?
Yes. The evidence is in the stones themselves: the colour runs from pale sky through to a deeper teal, and many carry fine brown veining — matrix, the host rock the turquoise grew in. Reconstituted turquoise, pressed from powder and resin, comes out uniform and matrix-free.
On a collar set with this many stones, that variation is the point. Perfect matching across every piece would be the thing to question.
What is the teal thread, and will it wear?
It is dyed thread wound over the frame, chosen to sit close to the colour of the stones, and it runs through two of the four bands as well as forming the adjustable closure. It is a design element, not just stringing.
It is also the part that ages first. Thread softens and dulls with years of wear long before silver or stone does, and it can be rewound — treat that as maintenance rather than repair, and bring the piece back to us when it needs it.
Will the turquoise change colour over time?
It can. Turquoise is porous, and over years it slowly absorbs oils from skin and air, usually deepening and greening a little. Most people regard that as the stone taking on its wearer.
It is not reversible, and it happens much faster with perfume, cream or water. Keeping the set dry is effectively the whole of the care.
What should I wear it with?
A bare neck. At two and a half inches deep this collar occupies the whole throat, so an off-shoulder, boat or wide scoop neckline is what it wants. Against a collar or a high blouse there is simply nowhere for it to sit.
Keep the outfit plain and let the teal be the only colour — ivory, white, black, chocolate, indigo, olive. Wear the matching earrings and nothing else at the ear.
How do I clean it?
A soft dry cloth, and nothing more. No water, no soap, no dip, no ultrasonic. This piece has three materials that all dislike liquid — porous stone, oxidised silver and dyed thread — and a cleaner that would be harmless on plain silver damages all three.
If it ever needs real attention, bring it back to us rather than to a high-street polisher.
