Madhu Chandrika Mirrored Triangle Silver Earrings

HANDCRAFTED 925 STERLING SILVER | BARMER

Geometry, Colour and the Desert Moon

The Story

In the villages of Barmer, Rajasthan, geometric patterns have long been part of traditional textiles, embroidery, and ornamentation. Triangles, flowers, and small reflective mirrors create striking arrangements of colour and form against the earthy landscape of the Thar Desert.

The Madhu Chandrika Mirrored Triangle Silver Earrings draw inspiration from this artistic heritage. Handcrafted in 925 sterling silver, they combine vivid red-orange mirrors with subtle dark blue-grey triangular accents, creating a beautiful contrast within an oxidized silver framework.

The design begins with a delicate floral arrangement of circular and teardrop-shaped mirrors. Below it, a bold geometric panel brings together several triangular forms, their bright red-orange surfaces interrupted by small dark blue-grey accents. The contrast adds depth and definition to the composition.

Small suspended teardrops and a three-petal dangling motif complete the earrings. These freely hanging elements introduce gentle movement, allowing the reflective surfaces to catch the light as the wearer moves. The darkened silver outlines emphasize each shape and give the jewellery its distinctive traditional character.

At 8 cm in length and 2 cm in width, the earrings create an elongated statement. Their lively red-orange detailing pairs beautifully with black, ivory, indigo, cream, and earthy fabrics. They can accompany a handwoven saree, a festive kurta, or a contemporary outfit where the earrings become the principal accessory.

Part of Totapari's Madhu Chandrika Collection, these earrings celebrate the traditional sheesha artistry of Barmer. The meeting of geometric forms, floral details, coloured mirrors, and oxidized silver brings Rajasthan's desert craftsmanship into contemporary jewellery.

Care & Keeping

Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after wearing. Keep away from water, perfumes, cosmetics, and harsh cleaning solutions. Do not use abrasive polishing cloths or silver dips, as these may remove the intentional oxidized finish. Protect the coloured mirror inlays from heavy impact and scratching. Store separately in a dry, airtight pouch or protective box to preserve the silver, reflective surfaces, and handcrafted detailing.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What makes the Mirrored Triangle Earrings different from ordinary geometric earrings?

These earrings combine more than a simple triangular shape. Their design brings together a floral upper section, a central geometric arrangement, and freely suspended teardrop motifs. The vivid red-orange mirrors contrast with dark blue-grey triangular accents and oxidized silver, giving the earrings a distinctive handcrafted appearance inspired by Rajasthan's mirrorwork traditions.

2. Do the dangling elements move independently when worn?

Yes. The earrings feature connected hanging elements, including small teardrops and a lower three-petal motif. These articulated sections allow natural movement as the wearer walks or turns. The movement also changes how light falls on the coloured mirrors, adding visual interest to the design.

3. How can I wear these 8 cm earrings without making the overall look too busy?

Let the earrings be the principal accessory. Their elongated shape, geometric detailing, and colourful mirrorwork already create a strong visual presence. A simple neckline, minimal necklace, or neatly arranged hair will allow the design to stand out. They pair particularly well with solid-coloured sarees, kurtas, and contemporary outfits.
